No less than 13,000 cubic metres of earthmoving right alongside the Boomsesteenweg in Wilrijk (Belgium) marked the launch of a construction project packed with challenges. The result will be a brand-new Albert Heijn store with offices on the first floor in the spring of 2026. In this assignment, space was limited and precision fundamental. Maarten Roes, our Business Unit Manager Antwerp-Ghent, gives an extensive account of this project that required an accumulation of our expertise.
In the summer of 2026, cyber security specialist Secutec is moving to a brand-new state-of-the-art office building. A project chock-full of details for a company in full international expansion. If you pass by the A12 motorway in Aartselaar today, you can witness our constructive challengers live in action. Maarten Roes, Business Unit Manager for the Antwerp-Ghent region, is pleased to give you a preview of this project.
In 2023, we started the first stages of the renovation and expansion works at food company Huijbregts in Helmond (the Netherlands). Two years later, our work there is done.
When your industrial company is growing, sooner or later you will face a major strategic challenge. Do you add buildings, move, renovate your industrial building extensively, or maybe even all of the above? Quite the balancing act, but luckily, one you don’t have to handle alone. At edibo, we provide guidance from the very first rough sketches up to the final delivery.
Ever since Willy Naessens Group officially took over edibo, we have received many congratulations but also a lot of questions; mostly from our current partners but also from potential new clients, architects and engineering firms. We’ve collected the most important questions, and their answers, concisely in this blog. For now, you can be sure of one thing: behind the scenes, we are making sure that your project is assigned to the most suitable partner within our group.

A recycling percentage of about 50% for plastic materials – that is the objective Belgium needs to and will reach once the brand-new recycling centre Mopet launches its processing activities in Neufchâteau. Project Manager Cyril Sollas gives us insight into this ambitious building project, managed by edibosud.
Stripping a building of three stories high down to the shell to then rebuild it with surgical precision to eventually rise as a modern, equipped office building, was – to say the least – not the industrial construction assignment we are used to. This project did, however, require the synergy of all our specialist knowledge in coordination, planning and technical implementation. With the final delivery still fresh in his memory, Site Manager Wout Dilissen takes us back to this outstanding challenge.
What started out as a one-time cooperation grew into a long-term joint construction chronicle. We have been assigned to help develop the growth plans of the pallet distributor and packaging specialist Foresco, across their different sites for two years now. Where every new project builds on the last, reaffirming time and time again the large mutual trust that has developed over the years.
